hi there,
saw your website through one of your ponies advertised on trademe. I think its amazing how you have been so comitted to these ponies and given them a wonderful life, they look so great and healthy. I went to Rarotonga a few weeks ago and saw there native horses there, bought tears to my eyes that they cant be given a better life, and there is only about 10 horses on the island. Anyways keep up the good work. You may hear from me in the future to purchase 1 of your ponies. cya

Hi, i love the site, its really awsome to read about the Kais that you take care of and adopt out, its an inspiration. I own a kaimanawa who was owned by Gina Rothery a couple of years ago. Her name is Argo or Kaimanawa Argo Dancer. Once again love the site and keep up the great work.

Hi Michelle, I saw your website in Naturally Equine and thought I'd jump on. I was the owner of Bell and Cherroke (now Seirra and ?). Saw the photos of Seirra and she looks gorgeous, glad the girls both went to good homes. What an amazing job you do. Is there a way of making donations to your cause?

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your recent help when I was looking for a Kaimanawa to break in and train up. I thought I would let you know that I have found an awesome unbroken bright bay gelding that I was allowed to buy for $300. He was local and I was very lucky to have found him. He was sitting in a paddock, dangerously over weight.
I only got him on Saturday and he is already able to be handled all over and I can pick all his feet up. I have also sacked him, put a saddle and bridle on -which he didn't mind one bit and after a days walking in the yard the next day I rode him around the paddock - walking and trotting. He is an absolute dream to handle and be with in every way.
I have called him Milo and I will send you some picks when he is out and about winning. : ) Thanks.
Karen Murphy.

Hi Michelle, this message is on behalf of my son Mitchell. We were fortunate to visit your farm a while back and meet your Kais when we had our ponyclub prizegiving there. He just wanted to say thanks for letting him ride Zorro and he said to say he thinks he's really AWESOME!
We love your site too...Thanx, Jo Pikia

Well done Michelle, I have had the pleasure of meeting Badger and Pippin and Li Looney and their owners, plus getting to hear about the Stanaway girls Kai's. Everyone speaks highly of you and your work speaks for itself. It is about time the Kaimanawas get good training and good publicity. Thanks for your efforts on behalf of the wild horses.

Love the website Michele. The photos are beautiful and you are precious. Thank you for the assistance, moral support and advice you have given me. Every muster brings grief to those of us who love the horses. Thank heaven the successes are equally sweet. Your photo album is an inspiration.

Wow, this is an awesome site! I found a link to it on Kim Cheeseman's WEC noticeboard. You are certainly an amazing person to dedicate your lives to Kaimanawas. Me and my best friend did a project on them last year in Science and I really wish I could help to save them, but I have only had my first pony for 2 years so I don't think I'd be very good at training new horses!!
Keep up the awesome work!

As a neighbour of Michele's (and the owner of one of her very first kaimanawas), whenever I look out my window I see the gorgeous ponies that Michele has taken in - looking bright, healthy, happy and (of course, because they're kaimanawas) cheeky as chooks in a feed barn! :)
The kaimanawas that Michele takes on are already awesome ponies - kais just have that something special to start with - but under Michele's care they thrive. Can't praise her work (and recommend her ponies!) enough. They're very lucky to have you, Michele.
Cheers,
Kyna - and of course Pegasus Bay.

I wish more people would do what you are doing to save a truly wonderful animal. Kaimanawas should be a protected animal of NZ, they may not be a native animal, but they have survived for a long time in the worst possible enviroment this country could offer. Perhaps as more people come to learn about this horse, more will be done to save them. Keep up the wonderful work. Angela

The Kaimanawa Wild horse is a genuine children's pony. I have been impressed with the loyalty and intelligence that they possess. They have had a difficult journey to finally be appreciated. Many have fallen to the ignorance of man because of their intelligence and relentless pursuit to survive when initially being mustered into domestication. They stood their ground and demanded to be understood, however some humans did not understand this. It takes a certain kind of person to excell with a Kaimanawa mustered from the wild and to school them successfully. Not all horse people can experience that special bond and success. This website is a tribute to that special something that Kaimanawa Wild Horses have that other breeds do not and to your special something, Michelle. Arohanui Stanaway Girls

This is a great website. I love getting e-mails from Michele whenever something exciting is happening at her place. She gives me heaps of support and encouragement with everything I do with Merlot. He is such a cool pony and we have lots of fun together. I really admire the work Michele does with the Kaimanawa horses. Where would they be without her?

Great website Michele! We just love seeing all your ponies and following their progress. We really appreciate the work you do and the results you get. We know how lucky Merlot was to have your love and care in his early years and he is a credit to you. We know too, how lucky we are to have Merlot. He is a fabulous pony and is admired whenever he goes out. We love him to bits!
Cheers

Ok I'm going to be the first =) What a cool website, and even more so, what great ponies! Having had one of Michele's youngsters I must say she does a fabulous job - her ponies are all relaxed, well handled, trusting and happy.
